Cookie Policy

This explains what cookies and similar tracking tools we use on addsum.in, why we use them, and how you can control them.

Effective 16 Jun 2026
In plain terms
  • Essential cookies keep the site working — they can’t be turned off.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies are optional — you can decline them via your browser settings.
  • We use four tools — Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads Tag, and standard WordPress session cookies.
  • We don’t sell cookie data to any third party.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the website remember information about your visit — for example, that you’ve already loaded a page, or that you came from a particular ad.

Similar technologies — like pixel tags and local storage — serve the same purpose. We refer to all of them as “cookies” in this policy for simplicity

How we use cookies

We use cookies for three purposes:

    • To keep the site working correctly — without essential cookies, forms, pages and navigation may not function.
    • To understand how the site is used — analytics cookies tell us which pages are most visited, how long people stay, and where they come from, so we can improve the experience.
    • To measure advertising effectiveness — advertising cookies let us see whether someone who clicked one of our ads on Google or Meta went on to contact us, so we can optimise our campaigns.

Cookies we use

The following categories of cookies are active on addsum.in:

Third-party cookies

Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and Google Ads Tag are set by third-party services, not by Addsum directly. These providers have their own privacy and data policies which govern how they handle the data they collect. We encourage you to review them

Data collected by these tools may be processed on servers outside India. For more on how we handle cross-border data, see our Privacy Policy.

How to control cookies

You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling optional cookies won’t stop the site from working, but some analytics or advertising features may stop functioning. Here’s where to find the settings in commonly used browsers:

You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and opt out of interest-based advertising from Meta via your Meta Ad Preferences.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting that signals websites not to track you. At present there is no universal standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, and addsum.in doesn’t currently change its behaviour in response to DNT requests. You can use the browser settings in § 5 to manage tracking directly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time — for example, when we add or remove a tool, or when regulations change. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
