Before starting Addsum, Sumesh M worked as an Area Manager at Bajaj Finserv — where he developed a deep understanding of business operations, customer acquisition, and growth strategy. It was here that his interest in marketing and customer behaviour took root.

He went on to pursue an MBA in Marketing and professional certifications in digital marketing — building hands-on expertise across SEO, social media marketing, paid advertising, content strategy, and website optimisation. What he discovered through that process was not just a new skill set — it was a clear picture of a problem that needed solving in the Kerala market.

Too many businesses were investing in digital marketing and receiving nothing in return — no clear strategy, no transparent reporting, and no connection between their marketing spend and actual business growth. Agencies were measuring success by likes and impressions rather than leads and revenue.
